Senior Building Code & Permit Manager


Carol is responsible for navigating local city agencies ensuring an expeditious turnaround time in obtaining approvals, permits and variances; working with internal & external architects on the submission of building plans to relevant departments and helping to ensure compliance with local building codes and zoning ordinances.

Before joining the Dixon Advisory team, Carol was a Project Manager at Triad Design Collaborative (NY) from December 2012 to November 2013. In this role Carol managed the fit-out of commercial spaces, from preliminary design through to completion.  Prior to Triad Design, Carol was an Associate Director at Rizzo Group (NY), an expediting firm specializing in NY building code, land use and zoning. In this role, Carol gained valuable experience in working with NYC building codes, zoning ordinances and the permit approvals processes including Landmarks Preservation Commission applications, ULURP, working with the Board of Standards and Appeals and the City Planning Commission. She specialized in zoning analysis and technical building code reviews of multiple high-rise commercial properties located throughout the Tri-State area.

Along with her Associate, she lead a team of Project Managers to coordinate DOB approvals and permitting processes on various projects ranging from Major Alterations, Lot Mergers and Apportionments to New Building applications. She has previously worked as a project manager in both Miami and Orlando based architectural firms which focused on mixed-use developments and urban planning.

Carol completed a B.A. in Architecture with a minor in Business Law at the University of Miami.
