Dana Opeikun is a Director with Dixon Projects. In this role, Dana has successfully completed numerous projects ranging from minor renovations to full-scale construction jobs, including several that began with multiple violations. “I received a project that had 12 violations attached to it, tenants living in the home and a lot of other new information I had not yet seen. It has been my most challenging and rewarding project thus far as I was able to create and execute a solution to the problem so the tenants living there could continue to enjoy their home.”
Prior to joining Dixon, Dana worked for several years as a Customer Service Representative and Bookkeeper for Shop Rite where she learned how to effectively communicate through any problem-solving scenario. Dana went on to receive her Bachelors of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology where she and her team earned 1st Place in an Elevator Pitch contest for the most innovative and environmentally-friendly design project in the class.
Since joining Dixon, Dana has put her communication and problem-solving skills – and her degree – to work. “The key to success as a Project Manager is being able to handle various situations. There are times when issues arise, but the way a situation is handled reflects strongly on the capabilities of the Project Manager.” Throughout her career at Dixon, Dana continues to absorb a wealth of valuable construction knowledge while she enjoys the personal responsibility and strong relationships built both internally and externally while tackling tough construction challenges.
Outside of work, Dana enjoys traveling, working out and spending time with family, friends and her cat, Ona.
