STEFFEN RINGELMANN
Head of Interior Design
Steffen manages a talented team of interior designers and oversees the interior design of the fund’s high-end and historic properties. An experienced interior designer and maker with extensive knowledge of 19th and 20th century design history and theory, Steffen believes each Dixon Advisory USA property deserves its own unique look and feel. He maintains two primary objectives: to create refined and elegant domestic interiors tailored to the sophisticated tastes of New Yorkers; and to preserve and enhance the rich history and crafted details of the historic homes themselves.
Before joining Dixon Advisory USA, Steffen founded and directed White & Wool, a full-service, Brooklyn-based interior design & build studio specializing in hospitality, retail, commercial and residential environments. Working collaboratively with New York City artists and craftsmen, White & Wool projects included the renovation and design of restaurants, bars, retail spaces, offices, educational environments and private residences in Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Hamptons and Upstate New York.
Prior to founding White & Wool, Steffen established The RAD Gallery to showcase the work of emerging design talent to the international marketplace. Active in discovering new talent internationally and promoting unique exhibitions and events in London and New York City, The RAD Gallery aimed to awaken interest in the field of up-and-coming contemporary design.
Steffen holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Contemporary Design from Sotheby’s Institute of Art, London, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Art & Media Studies from Vassar College. Born and raised in San Francisco, he currently resides in Brooklyn, New York.
